About the Book
Embodied Deep Focus and the Practice of Controlled Loss
As a photographic artist of many decades, I’ve long been engaged in a profound investigation into the limitations and abilities of my medium. How may an artist most effectively both create and convey the conundrum of a scene, a moment, a feeling, a story?
In my most recent body of work, Tales of the Bittersweet, I’ve established what I see as the most refined version of my philosophy to date, my answer to this question, and it is this theory that I refer to as Embodied Deep Focus.
