The concept for my book is based around an ongoing project about exploring the past, authenticity, and my relationship to other people. I’m on the autism spectrum, and while it wasn’t my initial intention, I think my photo work is deeply rooted in what that experience means to me. I’ve always processed time in a very retrospective sort of way, which, as I grew older manifested as a love for vintage aesthetics and objects. This project has been a medium to both express my interest in fashion and design, but also examine the specificities of why I feel so connected to these certain markers of time.
