Jack Cox joined the Air Force on December 6, 1941, the day before Pearl Habor Attack by the Japanese. As a basketball star at North Texas State, He had all the qualities to fly the A-20 aircraft. He passed the required IQ tests and had a superior eye and hand coordination.
