About the Book
A catalog of 145 pictorial postcards of Port Stanley, Canada, from 1906 to 1925. The book contains exact full colour reproductions of each postcard, with a description of the historical significance of the photograph shown on the post card. Published by Heritage Port, the Port Historical Society, this books portrays an era in the life of our little village when tens of thousands of visitors were arriving each summer to walk our famous boardwalk, dance to the music of the big bands at our summer dance pavilions, attend corporate picnics on the bluffs overlooking the lake, or simply to enjoy the wide sandy beach. Passenger ferries arrived daily from Cleveland and other ports on the south side of the lake.
