About the Book
In the same way that jazz weaves around a theme in order to express a feeling or create a mood, Visual Jazz aims to evoke the essence of its subject by allowing movement, rhythm, form and colour to emerge rather than precise detail. It is an instant, intuitive and unmanipulated response to a constantly changing environment.
My goal is to bring out the “otherness” of our existence by rejecting the realism of frozen moments in favour of the transitory space in between them. But .... as the sloth said about repeated attacks by a gang of marauding snails :
“ It all happens so quickly.”
