    About the Book

    introduction

Geometrical forms created through the interplay of light and shadow, object and space, color, texture, and type, in urban environments create a consolidated display of societal impact. These images are as formulaic as they are seredipitous; both in their occurance and my documentation. A composition, perspective, or line will catch my eye and, sometimes even without seeing the object, I will feel competlled to frame and chronicle its occurance. Common themes are symmetry, juxtapositions, division of space, nature and technology, contextual humor, and misrepresentatition through naturally occuring layering.

Cross/Sections contains photography from urban areas across the US, concentrating in areas I've resided in during the last 7 years. Namely San Diego, CA, Kansas City, MO, and New York, NY.
