About the Book
Southern Pacific Forever's Volume 4 caps off 2007 with four more months of trains, trains, and more trains. Focusing on the rare boxcar of yesteryear and the art painted upon their sides, this photographic journey may just be the best yet. With two wonderful interchange sections from Montana and Southern Alberta Canada, SPF 4 shows how different the railroad looks within different regions.
A magnificent 50+ page spread highlights the work of the WH & KBT artist crews and shows why they have a strong hold on the south eastern United States.
Peppered in with the 430+ pages of art, rust, and freight carrier beauty, is a look at how the Golden West Service came to be. Just one of a few looks into the specialty railroads and fallen flags of today that the SPF enjoys so much.
If you've experienced the first few Volumes of SPF, then you know what you're in for. If not, there's no time like the present! Please take a peek at the preview and if you want to see more samples of what's inside, then visit http://www.myspace.com/southernpacificforever and take a look inside the SPF Volume 4 picture album.
Anyhow, thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy what has evolved into Southern Pacific Forever's Volume 4...

About the Creator
Southern Pacific Forever
Northern California
I have a passion for the railroad, some say addiction, but I prefer the former. I've been lucky enough to travel around the country and Canada to watch trains and meet other young enthusiasts like myself. I'm a fan of art and love the country, and todays railroad holds both quite well. At the present time I live next to a large railyard and am fortunate to have plenty of opportunities to photograph railcars daily. So, until I find myself living under the Thailand sun, I'll be resting patiently beneath the California sky waiting for another line to come rolling by.
