About the Book
What influences and encounters are formative?
Antje Roitzsch provides an example of how life experiences build upon each other and how some threads are taken up much later in life. The double bend or compound curve is the one thread pulling continually through the artistic work of Antje Roitzsch.

About the Creator
Antje Roitzsch is a strong advocate for making sculpture accessible. Through her shows at banks, healing centers and other local venues she is bringing her work to the audience that is not coming to the galleries where she is otherwise exhibiting her work. When ever possible she encourages the direct experience and interaction with sculpture through touch. Following her Waldorf education Antje Roitzsch studied graphic arts and completed a goldsmith apprenticeship in Germany. In 1988 she was awarded a grant to study a goldsmith technique in Maine, staying for 15 years. In 2005 an extended stay in New York City rekindled Antje's creativity and from that blossomed a prolific production of art. She lives in Maine USA
