    H.D. Hasselbarth is an award-winning fine art photographer who resides in Florida and New Hampshire. Her works have been shown in galleries in Florida, Illinois and New York. After studying photography in the early 1980s, she worked in the traditional method of film. During the late nineties, Hasselbarth moved away from the world of film photography and began to experiment in the less familiar, but more potent, realm of digital technology. In her work, Hasselbarth assumes a neutral gaze and creates her art from commonplace subjects: a lone figure on the beach, an empty chair, a red shirt, or the village hotel. Like the life she studies, her pieces run the gamut from solemnly visceral to whimsically charming.
