About the Book
My name is Olive Marquis and I was born Olive Amy Heaume in Guernsey on 30 November 1925. This year I will be 90 years of age.
The Second World War broke out in 1939 and I spent the latter part of my teenage years under the rule of the German Forces, which occupied the island during the years from June 1940 to May 1945.
The following stories are some of my recollections of life up to and during those years and I have put them down in writing so as to be able to share those memories with others.
