Following many years in the education sector, and many years as an enthusiastic amateur photographer, Phil turned professional in 2009. He specialises in sport, landscape and wildlife photography, yet also undertakes work in commercial and wedding photography. Following a photographic journey in Africa he has produced the second in a series titled "Africa Bytes". Further books are planned.
