About the Book
Images of historic monuments or impressive architecture come to mind when thinking of countries abroad. While these panoramic views can say much about a place, details and overlooked spaces can reveal even more of its character. From deliberately constructed patterns to inevitable weathering, texture plays an important role in creating the identity of a place. Presented here are photographs taken while traveling through Europe (including Ireland, Scotland, Germany, and Italy), taken as a means to understand these different landscapes.
