The following body of work presents my argument for consideration of the human shadow as inspiration for architectural and programmatic design. A comprehensive study of the human shadow, as shared in the appendix, provides preliminary study and support for the Workshop: Craft + Play in the West Bottoms, a Master’s thesis in architectural design.



As a study in architecture, this volume of work is to be understood as an argument for the

appropriateness of my building and program design in response to the conceptual and pragmatic requirements of the project.
