About the Book
This book documents the erosion of the coastal defence structures on the Island of Xefina, in Mozambique. It is as much a document of this fast disappearing island as an artistic journey into the soul of the island, and what these structures may want to say to us before they leave.

About the Creator
Mario Traversi
Maputo, Mozambique
My first camera was a hand-me down I got when I was twelve, and I have been photographing ever since. I learned to develop and print b&w pictures at school in Sydney and worked as a yearbook staff photographer in New York. I have always maintained a love for photography, and a place for it in my wanderings and my work. I've completed several photographic projects as well as group and solo exhibitions. This is my first photography book.
