Manuel J. Canales, born In Lima, Peru, and grew up in small communities, around technology intensive industrial centers, staffed by technologists and engineers. His high school education was at British boarding school near Lima, His college education was at Drexel University in Philadelphia, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. His professional career has the common thread of development and commercialization new products and technologies including petrochemicals, desalination, whey proteins, desulfu- rization,chlorinated hydrocarbons, pine chemicals and nutraceuticals. He and his wife Susan, reside in Jacksonville, Florida.
