As skyscraping towers continue going up in Seattle the older buildings disappear. Along with the older building the alleyways either disappear or are modernized. Either way the character of these backsides of the old buildings is being lost. These photographs will help to preserve some of that old character. While the public facing sides of the older buildings have been updated with new windows, doors and neon signs, their backsides are often ignored except by graffiti artists.
