The idea that human beings gradually lose their innate secret purity in the process of aging was the constant tread that accompanied the development of this body of work. I understand that such loss diminishes the human capability for discovery, making the world that at first was magical, to become predictable and ordinary. This line of thought led to the questioning of whether it is possible to regain access to such purity, to be able to see the world as a magical place again. Thus, the exhibited works portray the struggling human journey to regain this access, the eagerness to escape the eternal recurrence and find shelter in one’s own secret nature. On its formal aspect, this exhibition aims to discuss different mediums for art display, which can more adequately serve our current times of institutional crisis and real / virtual blurriness. This preoccupation became clear to me during the making of these works, when the possibility of using different mediums (real and virtual) had an important role in the creative decisions. Unexpectedly playing with the concept of the medium actually being the message.
