About the Book
Simply put, The Hope Chest is a compilation of my poetry and artwork, and yet it represents so much more. Now in mid life, I find myself reflecting on life choices and experiences as a woman in this culture. I long to find the importance in what I have experienced in all aspects of my life journey—but especially on those specific aspects of experience that created a unique female identity within me, and which link me with all women in community together.
Today, I look at women’s roles and care giving from a creative and artistic perspective with a sacred dimension. My hope is that my writings and artwork will reflect this passion to my readers moving beyond the images and words to inspire and affirm women of all ages and all places in their life journey.
