The illustations for the James Joyce book are made from shadows taken from all over the San Francisco Bay Area. Some very different images came about when taking pictures at different angles and times of day. The images correlate to what is going on in the book. The shadows create mystery, emptiness, silliness, severity, hidden meanings, and an array of other messages.
