Selected paintings from 2012 to 2015 by contemporary Finnish painter Sampo Kaikkonen. The book contains detail images of most of the paintings and is written both in English and in Finnish. Sampo Kaikkonen (b. 1975) is a Finnish figurative painter strongly influenced by the old masters such as Caravaggio, Velazquez and Rembrandt. The influence of his mentor Odd Nerdrum can also be seen in the themes and brushwork of the paintings.
