Nora Sallows paints portraits and wildlife subjects, but her real love is plein air painting. When the weather cooperates she is out in the field struggling to capture atmosphere and light. Nora has a degree in Graphic Communications and worked as a graphic designer before settling in Northwest Ohio in 1996. Although she is primarily self-taught, she has taken workshops with with Judith Carducci, Nancy Seamons Crookson, David Buckley Good, Michael Malm, Marc Hanson, Michael Chesley Johnson and Qiang Huang. She has conducted acrylic and oil workshops since 2006. The artist is a member of the Ohio Plein Air Society, The Portrait Society of America, The Hyter Portrait Group, and the Toledo Artists Club. Her oil and pastel paintings have won numerous awards.
