    About the Book

    Edit

With Motion-Emotion, the Clarinda Carnegie Art Museum presents a
collection of pieces that share how our movements, emotions, and thoughts
collide in a powerful journey with animals, time, people and energies from
    our surroundings.

Reflecting on the museum’s first year, it is easy to see how emotions have
united with physical motion to complete the repurposing of the Clarinda
Carnegie Library building and began establishing its programs.

Karen and Robert Duncan have given the people of Southwest Iowa the
wonderful gift of sharing. Each person who passes through the CCAM
doors is guided on a journey of experiences and emotion that, without the
Duncans’ generosity, would not be possible.

CCAM extends deepest appreciation to Kathryn and Marc LeBaron for
extending the loan of many wonderful pieces from their private collection.
They combine with the Duncans’ art to create an exhibition like no other.
