About the Creator
BILL HYDER majored in political science and anthropology at UC Santa Barbara, where he worked until moving to UC Santa Cruz in 1990 to serve as Director of IT and in higher academic administration. He retired in 2010 after a thirty-year career in the UC system. As an archaeologist, Bill specializes in prehistoric art, which took him to rock art sites throughout the American West, Australia, South Africa, and French Paleolithic caves. In addition to his own scientific rock art publications, his photographs have been included in museum exhibits, a variety of books, and monographs. He is a past president of the American Rock Art Research Association. DORI BOHNTINSKY has worked as a medical speech language pathologist since 1976. Married since 1971, she and her husband have one daughter and three young grandchildren. Dori earned her D.Min. in wisdom spirituality and was ordained through an interfaith chaplaincy seminary in Berkeley, CA in 2006.
