    About the Book

    Edit

This exquisite blend of artistic perspectives is what happened after high school sweethearts experienced a chance reconnection. Bill, an archaeologist specializing in prehistoric rock art and Dori, a speech language pathologist with a doctorate degree in divinity, soon discovered that their separate paths took them on similar life journeys including love, family, and healing from loss. Yet, being touched by rock art is the thread that rekindled their friendship. ENGAGED takes you on an interwoven journey through the lens of Bill’s professional photography (from aerial landscape views to unique close-ups) and his stories of scientific explorations and adventures blended with Dori’s intuitive poetic replies. Originally only intended for their families, the pleasure that this collaboration brought to others inspired them to compile some of their explorations into ENGAGED. It is their hope that you will discover how engaged observation of rock art has the power to move the mind into higher modes of perception, thinking, and expression that can touch one’s soul.
