So, too, it is with this group of diverse young photographers, each wearing a different stripe — from all over the nation, from all over the university, from various areas of academia. They are influenced by a variety of interests, artists and photographers, working on everything from documentary to personal history to conceptual serialism and even nocturnal surrealism, using personal obsessions, eccentricities or trauma like a sword to cut through their worlds and slice out these images.
