Written to help children understand why vegetarians and vegans make the choice not to eat meat and/or animal products, Cows Cry Too starts out with a "gentle" glimpse inside factory farms (i.e. it won't give kids nightmares, but it'll get them thinking about and questioning the status quo) and helps kids realize that most farms are not how they are portrayed in children's books or the media. It then shifts and talks about how animals have feelings just like us, before culminating with an idea how they, themselves, can help ease farm animals' pain and suffering!
