24 Typefaces is a book that explores 24 different typefaces, the history behind them, and type as image. The contents of the book include 11 serif fonts (Baskerville, Bembo, Caslon, Clarendon, Garamond, Janson, Minion, Optima, Palatino, Sabon, and Serifa) and 13 san-serif fonts (Akzidenz Grotesk, Akzidenz Light, Din, Franklin Gothic, Frutiger, Frutiger Light, Futura Light, Futura Bold, Helvetica, Meta, Myriad, Univers, and Univers Light Condensed). Each page has an essay about the typeface, an example of each character, and introduces each typeface with an image. This project was created in Mark Laughlin's Typography I, Fall 2016 course at RISD.
