About the Book
The last two summers I have travelled to Mexico with my niece Danielle and other young adults to build houses for needy families. These photos represent my experience with the house building process, and most importantly, the children of Tijuana. The children of both the families for whom we built the houses and those living at the orphanage, Casa Hogar. Myself and other adult mentors, and these exceptional young adults, spend 4 days building a home for the families to live in. On the 5th day, we spend the day at Casa Hogar with the children. We play with them, hold them and show them how much we care. Building foundations...this experience has truly touched my heart.
