About the Creator
Gananoque Intermediate and Secondary School is a public, comprehensive high school of approximately 500 students located in Gananoque, Ontario. Gananoque is a town of 5,000, which relies on tourism as its primary business. Located in eastern Ontario, on the banks of the St. Lawrence River in the heart of the 1000 Islands area, the school draws one-half of its students from the town itself and the rest from the surrounding rural area. It is part of the Upper Canada District School board and is a grade 7 to 12 comprehensive school. GSS offers a diverse selection of academic, enriched, applied, locally developed, technical and advanced placement courses including 2 Specialist High Skills Majors in Hospitality and Tourism and in Sports.
