    About the Book

    Edit

Amelia The Town And The People Who Loved Her is not a mystery. It does not promote any theory of her disappearance. Simply it is a love story and quite personal. This artful book begins with how a father and his daughter saw Amelia as their heroine. The author delves into the growth of Amelia's hometown, the intimates and the family who influenced Amelia's life, and the immigrants who formed her home town. The book provides an outstanding view of her hometown as it looked when Amelia grew up there and the sights she would have seen. It gives a look into Amelia's early education and her special friends and where she played and dreamed her dreams. Through this book the author offers the reader special glimpses into Amelia's childhood and through her adult life. These are glimpses into her hometown of Atchison and the people there who loved her.

Writers have the ability to take a reader on a journey out of their own reality and somewhere else whether it is fiction or non-fiction. You have found my first book and I hope you will enjoy it. Two of my children's books may be found on Amazon with more to come. Currently I am working on two historical novels. They are challening in that I am constantly coming up with new ideas for the characters, but keep them in the framework of the historical period. My next step will be to develop a website and blog.
