About the Book
Fox Bailey is an 11 year old boy who loves writing poetry and learning interesting things especially in science. He also happens to be an autistic, non-speaking boy who communicates by pointing to letters on a letter board instead of speaking through his mouth. For the first 7 years of his life he had very little ability to communicate so he was stuck learning the same pre-school level skills over and over and over again. Then he started learning Soma RPM (Rapid Prompting Method) which not only gave him a way to finally communicate but also opened up him up to a world of real learning, writing and friendship. This picture book poetically describes this period in Fox's life where he went from being a naturally quiet boy to a boy with a whole lot to say.
