Barbara Pearn is a resident of Grey County where she has lived with her husband and children since 1995. Barbara graduated from Conestoga College in the Graphic Arts and Advertising Design program. She was a graphic designer for 15 years in Toronto working on such accounts as Shoppers Drug Mart, Sears, The Bay. She owns and operates ColourPix which specializes in graphic design and web design for a wide variety of clients. Her company publishes The Art Map, which promotes artists throughout the Grey, Bruce and Southern Georgian Bay area. Barbara’s painting style is directly opposite of the control demanded in her graphic art. Her acrylic and oil pieces are bold, graphic and impressionistic in a style unique to Barbara. Her paintings are alive with colour and texture. Experimenting and pushing her personal limits ensures that her work is continually changing and evolving. The natural environment remains the greatest influence on her and her work.
