Documentation of sculptor Elise Robison's 2007 "Plastic Canopy". This 1400 square foot installation is constructed with bamboo legs and over 500 quilted plastic grocery bags that enhance a day at the beach rather than pollute it. Elise works with plastic because she finds it aesthetically pleasing and out of concern for the environmental consequences posed by un-recycled plastics.
