Lavinia has always been a lover of the written word as well as the pursuit of philosophical and spiritual inquiry. Using poetry and metaphor as her vehicle, she weaves together thought provoking and moving poems on both of these topics. Lavinia is a faculty librarian at California Institute of the Arts and sits on the editorial advisory board for the Journal of Access Services. Her research interests include mysticism of which she writes often on her blog mysticcookie.com.
