About the Book
Photographer Stephen Tyler is an American expat currently living in the Philippines. His visual documentary of life in the Southeast Asian nation is captured here in 100 pages of stunning black and white imagery from numerous locations. From the white beaches in Pagudpud, El Nido and Boracay, through the million persons procession of devotees in the Feast of the Black Nazarene, to the open fields harvested by farmers in the province, these images cover everyday life from most of these places. Utilizing his passion for the story telling captured through a camera lens, it is a combination of street photography, landscape photography and photojournalism. It is not a travelogue narration of what he did on vacation, rather, the visual everyday life stories experienced in his new home.
