About the Creator
Mark Dennett
Brisbane, Australia
Mark Dennett is a minimalist and ambient piano composer, originally from Hull, UK. He began composing when he moved to Sydney, Australia, writing short piano pieces whilst taking classical piano lessons. Inspired by the human condition and the landscapes of Australia’s shores and hinterland, Dennett’s work is melodically and harmonically dark yet optimistic. His pieces draw on genres ranging from Scarlatti’s sonatas to the mesmerizing beats of Aphex Twin and the analogue sounds of Nils Frahm.
