About the Book
A cylinder of paper circles was her Mother’s Day gift in 2004. Mom placed it by her landline in the kitchen to jot down messages from those who phoned her.
The circles remained blank until the following year, the year our brother was diagnosed with renal cell cancer. And then the purpose for the circles became clear. For the next ten years Mom penned inspirational notes for herself and recorded verses from the Bible. The words she wrote seemed to bolster her faith and strengthen her resolve. While she searched for courage, she rediscovered hope. Through prayer and devotion, she found peace in God’s Word and in His promise of eternal life.
We put her circles into this book not only to honor her, but also to serve as a legacy for her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. One day (we hope) they will tell their families about the small woman who was full of a faith so great that it needed to be shared across the generations.
