    About the Ebook

The spirit of the valley never dies. Everything exists in a state of constant flux and confusion. Nature endures. The path is the pathless path. The way is the constant way. This is the Tao.

This work has been produced in the existential spirit of the Tao. All photographs were captured using a hand-held Leica M9 rangefinder.

Shands Road was built many years ago as a service road for the coal industry but later fell into disuse.

Today, amidst much controversy, this land is about to be raped once more for its black gold. Coal.
