Piano is a unique subject for children to study. We want them to be knowledgeable in the science, art and history, be disciplined, organized, artistic, well coordinated, spiritual and sensitive.

Piano study has it all.



In order to learn a piano piece, a student must be taught some basics in music science - theory, harmony, music forms, polyphony, etc.



He or she must be well equipped technically, coordinating skillful work of arms, wrists, fingers, elbows, and feet.



Learning music history will show a student the stylistic differences between Baroque, Classical, Romantic or Modern eras, explain why Bach's fugues, Mozart sonatas, Chopin's waltzes or Debussy's preludes were written in the ”musical language” of their time.



A student should be taught to appreciate the beauty of music. However, he or she should also be persistent in portraying this beauty. In turn, this persistence may also have the benefits of making your student more organized and disciplined.



Constant work on the artistic and spiritual side of piano pieces will form and solidify a student's aesthetic taste and appreciation of this beauty.



But is it possible to reach such lofty goals for a beginner? More than 35 years of teaching the piano tells me: YES!



Let's give children the best of early piano education, because the beginning stage of the learning process is significant for any future development: your student could become a musician, or perhaps he or she will have a beautiful hobby for a lifetime. Even if it is just one or two years of studying the piano, those years should not be wasted. And they will not be.
