Whatever happened to Caliban?



Shakespeare leaves Prospero’s slave on the island at the end of the Tempest. Caliban, however, shows up again in Milan four hundred years later and takes over the magnificent Sforzesco Castle.

This twenty-first century Caliban is seriously into the environment and turns Prospero’s former home into a nature sanctuary for pigeons and stray cats.
