Perhaps the magic of a park comes from the fact that it causes us not to care so much and allows us to enjoy play and the nostalgia of memories.



Minato Mirai is located in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture in Japan. Nearby are the two areas photographed in this book. Akarenga Soko is a recreation area with historical, red-brick buildings. Cosmo World is an amusement Park.



To create these images I used a Holga camera with a Polaroid back. Sometimes I added various filters to the lens. Polaroid and Fuji instant film formed the image base. I scanned the images to digitize them, enlarge them and edit them to some degree.
