I used to be a little afraid of taking pictures with a substandard digital camera. What if I happen to take my best shot ever but it'll be so low-fi that it cannot be published?



Later I accepted my mobile phone camera as the fun little simple device it is and started collecting everyday observations. The phone became my tool for recording memories.



Basic Observations is a selection of images taken over a time of roughly fifteen months, ending in the final days of June 2010.



All pictures in this book are presented without any post production, just the raw image files from my Nokia N95.
