About the Creator
I started my professional life as a chef. I attended the culinary program and the Colorado Art Institute and went on to work as a sushi chef and a sous chef for a large banquet hall. I loved the work but the lack of sunlight was soul crushing. Professional kitchens don't tend to have windows and I would find myself driving to work on sunny days dreaming of jetting off to far away places. I took a break from kitchens and accepted a job as a flight attendant to get a new perspective. I had always had a passion for travel. Before long the careers merged into one and I started working as a cook on private jets or as a corporate flight attendant. I had gotten my wish, no matter what the weather was that day it was always sunny in my kitchen but there were also challenges. The space and recirculated air challenged my skills in ways I never thought possible. I chose to write books for the adventurous cooks of the world who believe you don't need a perfect kitchen for a perfect meal.
