Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary 11th edition



All photographs, including the most basic, point-and-shoot, whether it be family, pet, vacation or otherwise are re-imagined or “manipulated” to some degree or other. The pictures may be cropped, change orientation, adjust color, even remove unwanted objects in order to make an “artistic” statement.
