About
Alessio Roberto is a self-taught photographer with a deep affinity for analogue photography. Growing up in Italy, he developed a passion for the craft thanks to his father, who taught him the basics in the 1990s using an analogue reflex camera. While he spent many years exploring digital photography, in 2019 he rediscovered the magic of analogue instant photography through Polaroid. In 2021, he decided to expand his repertoire by shooting on 35mm film again.
Currently, his primary photographic project focuses on double exposures. This technique enables him to create layered images that seamlessly blend architectural and natural elements in a unique and evocative manner. Alessio prefers film photography, appreciating how these formats encourage more profound thought about composition and the emotions he wants to convey with each shot.
