Born in the Netherlands and raised in Canada, Rhoda has covered a lot of distance in her four decades. Jesus Christ found her 15 years into her journey, after the painful loss of her mom. He has been her life companion ever since.

She is the wife of Lucas, a builder of business, family, and church. She is also the mom and travel guide to 5 lively children, ranging from 5 to 14 years of age.

Educated with a B.Ed. from the University of Manitoba, Rhoda has applied her teaching gift in high school classrooms, Sunday school and youth events, ladies retreats and Bible studies. She is a published poet and self-published author.

Rhoda loves to carve out time for her main interests of spending quality time with family and friends, studying God's Word, hiking, snowboarding, jewelry-making, piano-playing, traveling, reading, and writing.

Rhoda has a heart for encouraging women in their faith, and a vision to influence the next generation in their pursuit of God, pointing them to Christ.
