    About the Book

Can God really making a highway through the wilderness of trial? Can the desert of dearth truly bloom? Can streams of water burst forth in the dry lands of sorrow? Can the broken road be made whole? Will He keep His loving promises? There are times in our journey of faith when God leads us through hard places, and yet even there He can be found as a wellspring of all we need, causing us to flourish and grow. This series of journal entries documents one such pathway. The Lord burdened me to begin writing while still in the middle of the hard, when things were still raw, for the encouragement of others traveling a similar road. The hopeful conclusion serves as a testament to His faithfulness, but is by no means necessary for unearthing life's greatest treasure - Christ. And of course, the journey continues, even when we emerge on the other side of one hardship. There will always be mountains to climb and valleys to traverse, but sometimes one must pause and build an altar of remembrance. This is such an altar. Placed for a reminder of God's goodness, and as a help for those who are stumbling along their own broken road. Importantly, it also serves as a signpost pointing us all always to Christ no matter where we are on the way of life. Be blessed, friend, as you travel along with me. And may you find all the comfort you seek in the great Comforter Himself.
